The H2gO Purifier resulted from a quest to create the best personal water purifier in the world. In contrast to traditional camping water filters, water treatment gear classified as a “purifier” protects against all 3 classes of waterborne pathogens – viruses, bacteria, and protozoa. The H2gO is a pocket-sized water purifier for individuals, families, and small groups that can be used in place of camping water filters or water purification tablets. Many city water utilities use the same core technology on a much larger scale to provide safe drinking water. The H2gO works by converting a tiny bit of common salt into a powerful chlorine and hydrogen peroxide disinfectant solution that is added to the water to destroy disease-causing microorganisms. Imagine being able to create your own unlimited supply of liquid “water purification tablets” at virtually no cost – whenever you want, wherever you are. 

The H2gO GLOBAL is a suitable choice for the following circumstances:

  • Inclusion in a Go-Bag or other preps
  • Water that is already pre-filtered
  • A principal goal of treating only virus and bacteria
  • No issue with multi-dosing for treatment of protozoa

The H2gO GLOBAL has volume settings of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 liters, with a dose of 2.5 mg/L free available chlorine, in alignment with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Safe Water System requirements common in developing nations. One battery charge will deliver 240 liters, and the device has a lifetime capacity of 120,000 liters (32,000 gallons) with no replacement parts needed.

The H2gO GLOBAL is certified by the World Health Organization (WHO) as meeting their classification for Household Water Treatment Systems. A single dose meets WHO treatment standards for viruses and bacteria, while in-house tests show multiple doses inactivate protozoa like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, even in cloudy waters. Independent evaluations are in process to obtain approval at the higher level WHO classification as a "protective" water treatment system.

HERE IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN

Here in Northern Michigan, we were hit with yet another "once in a lifetime ice storm" that knocked out power for the second time in as many years. Last years ice storm was supposed to have been that once in a hundred years storm. This year it was a Mid-March Storm and another week with no power, meaning no water from the well. Catching rainwater from the roof in buckets was our only option to drink and flush the toilet. An EXCELLENT chance to use our H2gO Water Purifier, to make sure we had plenty of water not only to drink but to keep OUR SELVES CLEAN, SAFE WATER. For seven days we treated the water with no issues.

Missing product & Deep discharged battery

Ordered two H2gO Global and received only one in shipping. Wrote to the company, and the company immediately sent over the missing H2gO. It was unfortunate, but the company's customer service was good. However, the one that arrived later wouldn't turn on (the 1st one did) upon arrival. The product arrived with a completely depleted battery and would not power on out of the box. This indicates the battery has been in a deep discharge state for an extended period, compromising its long-term health and capacity. The product did turn on after recharging, but I worry whether the battery is permanently damaged...

Hello, we apologize for our mistake with your order and are glad to hear you received the missing H2gO. For shipping compliance with IATA regulations, all H2gO devices are sent with a very low battery charge. In some cases, this can result in the unit arriving fully discharged. However, due to our fast inventory turnover, any full discharge would only have occurred for a short period of time.
We recommend fully recharging your H2gO and testing its functionality, as you have done. While it is true that lithium-ion batteries perform best when maintained with a partial charge, we have extensively tested long-term battery performance. In our studies, multiple units were stored without solar exposure for up to three years and, once recharged, remained fully functional. If you experience any ongoing issues or have additional concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help.
