The H2gO GLOBAL is certified by the World Health Organization (WHO) as meeting their classification for Household Water Treatment Systems. Purchased this as a thoughtful gift for an avid prepper friend. The images on the website show clearly that it comes in packaging and the test strips come in a plastic case. What I received was the items with no packaging at all. Even the H2go device put in a cut down mylar pouch which hardly fit the device, and can't even wrap the device fully. First impression was I had received seconds. Definitely can't gift it. Considering shipping it back but for a refund. But, I am sure I would loose enough in international shipping costs back and forth to not making the return worthwhile. Extremely disappointing and a complete misrepresentation of what is shown on the website. At the very least they can update the pictures on the website to inform users what to expect and what they would actually receive. Unprofessional at the very least and god only knows if there was an intentional seconds sold as new.

You are correct that we no longer use a blister pack for the H2gO or a plastic case for the test strips since we are attempting to reduce our plastic use, product footprint, and shipping cost. We will most definitely update the images on our listing to reflect our current packaging. Be assured that you have not received a used product -- we do not sell any secondhand devices. The mylar pouch you mention is an electrostatic bag that protects the electronics during air transport. This bag is open at the top so that we can test the unit before shipment to ensure functionality. If you are interested in a product refund, please contact us.
